F1 SEAT

FERRARI themed furniture isn't a new sight for luxury lovers and F1 fanatics. The newest entrant to join this league of Ferrari furniture is the unique Ferrari Office chair. A great seat to work in, it will help you stay connected with your first love (Ferrari) even while at work. Originally made for the Ferrari F360 Challenge car by OMP, it has now been fitted to a custom-made carbon fibre office chair frame. What is more, you can count on your seat being the only one of its kind as they are 'used' from actual cars so there may be small marks or blemishes on the leather. All seats feature smooth black Connolly leather with dark grey stitching and have fully adjustable arm rests, seat height, and tilt. What is more, you also have the choice of choosing the base colour for this seat according to your desire. A must-have seat for the F1 fans, it is priced at $8,000.

CYBERNETIC SUITS

Sci-fi fans will know Hal as the computer that went wrong in 2001: A Space Odyssey and Cyberdyne Systems as the company that created the Terminators. Irony-rich researchers at the University of Tsukuba have launched a hi-tech spin-off, Cyberdyne Inc, which is developing a robot suit called Hybrid Assistive Limb- or Hal for short. The suit promises its elderly wearers help in their daily tasks, allowing them to lift more than they could unaided.

INTELLIGENT TOILET

Your toilet will in future talk to your doctor as it examines the healthiness of your stools. The Toto-made toilet, common in Japanese hotels, already has a built-in bidet and variety of heat settings for the seat, which can also put up to help the elderly user. Now Toto is working with Daiwa house, Japan's largest house builder, to install toilets for pensioners. These have medical sensors that measure blood-sugar levels based on the urine, and the blood pressure body fat of the use. The data is emailed to the doctor's surgery through a built-in internet device.
